Sandra Bowman teaches Spanish to students in Kindergarten through the twelfth grades.

Course Descriptions:

Introduction to Spanish (6th & 7th Grades):
This is an introductory course especially tailored to students who may not have experienced a previous contact with the Spanish language, or may have very little knowledge or experience in Spanish. The language skills of speaking, reading, listening, and writing in Spanish are introduced and reinforced from the beginning of the course. Cultural aspects of  Spanish-speaking countries are presented.
Spanish I: (8th & 9th Grades)
In Spanish I, students learn how to ask and answer questions, give and follow directions, purchase items, make small talk, and present the gospel.
Spanish II:
The students learn to communicate at an intermediate level with Hispanics in a store, a bank, an airport, a hotel, a doctor's office, an auto shop, and on the mission field. Grammar, pronunciation, spelling, writing, listening, talking, verb tenses, and moods are emphasized in a variety of exercises.
Spanish 3 & 4
Students increase proficiency in listening, speaking, reading and writing.  This course provides review and amplification of structures previously taught and introduction to more advanced grammatical concepts.  Hispanic history, geography, and literature are studied.  Class is mainly conducted in Spanish and all oral and written work is done in Spanish.
