Dress Code
     

SHIRTS

Shirts can be solid color polo shirts - red, navy, white, yellow, royal and light blue. No stripes or contrast stitching on shirts will be allowed. A long-or short-sleeved knit polo shirt will be permissible (no sleeveless shirts and no capped sleeves with see through material). All clothing is to be logo-free except a CAL logo will be permissible. A student may wear a school color turtleneck or t-shirt under the polo shirt. Uniform oxford dress shirts/blouses are permitted (not as an outside shirt over another shirt).

PANTS, SHORTS, SKIRTS

Slacks, shorts, Capri pants, skorts or skirts must be a solid color khaki or navy. Walking shorts or skirts must pass the “credit card” test when standing. All clothing is to be appropriately sized with pants not covering the shoe. Skirts may be plaid. Pants, shorts or skirts must be worn with the waistline at the waist level. NO SAGGING. NO FRINGE.

No undergarments should be visible. You will be allowed to wear cargo slacks & shorts if they comply with above standards.

COATS, JACKETS, SWEATSHIRTS, AND SWEATERS

V-neck, cardigan or crewneck sweaters or hooded sweatshirts may be worn. These need to be a solid school color. ALL outerwear, such as coats, jackets, oversized shirts, wind-shirts, etc. are to be stored in the backpack room during the school day. (You may wear them to the sanctuary only)

SHOES

Shoes are mandatory. House slippers are not permissible. Flip flops are permissible. Only solid school color socks are permissible.

HEADGEAR, ETC

All hats, bandanas & gloves of any kind are to be removed upon entering the building and be stored in book bag room.

Sunglasses may not be worn in the building. No distracting facial hair, facial paint, distracting hairstyles, or unnatural hair colorings are allowed. No distracting ties, belts, earrings or bracelets are allowed.

DRESS DOWN

Every MONDAY will be a dress down day. Students will be given the opportunity to earn additional dress down days, but they will only be allowed to use them on FRIDAY’S. Remember that the same modest dress code rules apply on dress down day (no tight clothing, no low cut clothing, no sleepwear, no sleeveless shirts, no see through clothing, no sagging pants, etc.).
